It's great to hear from Vince Spooner again. He sailed around Britain to raise money for
Martin House - Hospice for children and young people
He writes; 'This is a picture of me celebrating. I am off Spurn point 06 August 2007 nearly at the end of my
circumnavigation around the UK for Martin House Childrens Hospice. It took me ten weeks most of the
voyage single handed, and I have raised over £9,000 for the charity.'

Moody Blue: That's all we know about this picture! We are assuming it's the name of the boat.
|
Norman: Trying to look scared during his trip to the Orkney Isles with Mike Fellows ... Looks more like he's loving it to me!

Gordon: Round The Island 2005 - Flying the Kite to bring us home in the top 25% overall...! |
Mike: One of several North Sea crossings to Holland during 2006 aboard 'Black Diamond of Durham' which is a Bowman 45, a great sea boat but very wet also very fast! |
Vince: "Picture of me dressed up like a beginner in Arklow harbour on the east coast of Ireland. I keep the hat just for fun and to cheer every one up".

This is a picture taken during a race of my foredeck, Andrew.
He got the inflate toggle of his life jacket caught and when he moved the whole thing went off!
|
Pete sent us this picture of his mate Jim relaxing below decks.
Yes, below decks! Skipper took some liberties with this one to make it
blend into the banner. Click on the image to see the original picture.

Richard, the original "Jolly Sailor" during the Competent Crew course
with our very own Skipper.

Des concentrates on the wind vein during a delivery trip. Maybe not the best
picture to demonstrate it but we are assured that Des is a very jolly sailor most of the time.
|
Our own Skipper, Geoff caught in an uncharacteristically good mood!
Looks like a forced smile though.
